Ancient Rome, where citizens mattered and community was vital, was the theme for 
Digital Ball 2008 held at The Westin Charlotte on Saturday, April 26. NPower's legions, representing 80+ companies, came together to raise over $550,000 to support NPower's work in the nonprofit community.
Co-Chairs Martin Davis (CIO, Wachovia) and Rich McKnight (CIO, Novant Health) highlighted the need for the nonprofit community to leverage technology to further their mission and emphasized the positive impact that NPower is making. They thanked sponsors for supporting NPower and helping nonprofits harness the power of technology.
The inaugural Technology Innovation Award, sponsored by Accenture, was presented to Community School of the Arts. Community School of the Arts will use the Technology Innovation Award to create a web-based, user-friendly registration system to dramatically improve the enrollment process for students, parents and faculty.
