Project Ignite Forum: Data Security
January 21, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Covenant Presbyterian Church
1000 E. Morehead Street
Charlotte, NC 28204
When you go home at night, do you have a plan for protecting your agency's data? What are its vulnerabilities? Who has access to it? Is it backed up in case of theft or natural disaster?
How familiar are you with different computing environments such as cloud computing, hosted servers and local servers? Join us for a discussion that will clearly define these environments, explore best practices for data security as well as lay out the benefits and challenges of various security options. Designed for information technology novices, this “Data Security 101”-style discussion will provide a roadmap to understand the landscape and give you tools to do your own data security audit, so you can make informed decisions about your own data storage.
For experienced IT users, we will reconvene an advanced-level data security webinar in early February to enhance your understanding of the latest data security tools, troubleshooting and techniques.
